Yes you can run an Intel® Core™ i7-2600K from an Asus P8H61-m board but you would not be able to overclock the processor with that board. The H61, H67, Q65, B65 and Q67 chipset based board will not allow you to overclock the core clock speed on the unlocked "K" processors. So the best bet if you are going to get the Intel Core i7-2600K is to get a P67 or Z68 chipset based board.
