I recently bought an I7 3770 CPU hoping for a little upgrade and as I had installed it, it wouldn't function, sending me the 5 short beeps and after a couple days I had determined that the cpu isn't fit with my current motherboard E93938, but i don't understand if that's the issue because it says "Core I7 vPro" on the case of the PC's casing, any help?

Solution
The i7 3770 is not listed as supported by your system, which only came with 2nd generation CPUs from the factory.

If HP DID add support for the 3770 later down the road when it was released, it would be through a BIOS update. This is unlikely, since the notes do not seem to say support for any new CPUs was ever added, but it is worth a shot.

Install the old CPU and update your BIOS to the latest version.

Install the i7 3770 and try to boot.

If the issues persist, it is because it is not supported. Return the 3770 and buy a compatible 2nd generation CPU, such as the venerable i7 2600.
