I7 3770 vs i 4790/4770

Currently i have fx 6300 and planning to get a new cpu because my fx is getting old. I found an used i7 3770 for $120, an used i7 4770 for $181, and an used i7 4790 for $188. Which one should i take?

• i wont go to ddr4 platform because it is expensive.
• i will use this pc for gaming, streaming, video editing.

Almost no big difference in real life between 3770, 4770 and 4790, if you do not intend to use the iGPU.
The iGPU on 47xx should be stronger but still not useful for gaming.

I assume you want to replace only the proc and mobo yes? If you can find second-handed items, going to I7 3770 or I7 47xx is not a bad idea.
My tip, try to find OC-able items such as -k procs and Z97 mobo.

I think it depends on how cheap you can find a motherboard for the 3770. It's hard to justify a used 4790 for $188 when a *new* i5-8400 is actually less than that; it's not that much better than a 3770 and at that point, you're essentially locking yourself into a much older platform so that you can build around existing RAM.

I have gtx 950. Yes i only want to replace proc and mobo.
I dont want K procs because i cant oc, and it is too risky.

A brand new Ryzen 5 2600 (50% more cores/threads than 3770, 4770 and 4790) cost about USD160-180.
a mid-class B450 mobo should be around USD90-100.
A 3200Mhz 2x8 GB RAM kit is about USD140-160.
The only more money you might have to spend should be the RAM kit.
Yes, it is a bit more expensive but you have yourself a far newer platform and far more performance.

I live in Indonesia, price in here is expensive, i saw i3 8100 costs around $140 ($1 = Rp. 14.900)

Ah, you are not from US. Everything in US is far cheaper...

A ryzen 5 2600 cost Rp. 3Million which is about USD200. A brand new proc for only USD12 more than the used 4790 (USD188).

You can try to haggle to make the price down a bit. Make price comparison on more than 10 stores in Mangga 2 before you buy anything from them.
