i7 3770 vs i5 6500. Which one will i choose?

Hey guys, I'm stuck between choosing this 2. Which should i buy? Most games nowadays are using the 8 threads that the i7 has. Whihc will give me better performance on the long run?

There isn't much difference between the two, bottom line. Assuming you haven't bough the rest yet, ram mobo etc i would suggest going i7 8700 8th gen system instead.

Hyperthreading isn't a sure thing with lot of games, it may help in some games but often a margin so small not worth mentioning, just focus on the main cores.

If you want a cpu for the future go a 6 core minimum (8700). 4 cores are already a minimum for some games like Farcry 4 and GTA5 to either actually run or to perform.

Well, i know someone where i can buy them as mobo + procie bundle. The i5 would be more expensive though. I wanna play the latest games and i'm afraid the i5 6500 might bottleneck in the upcoming future

Go the 6500 then, performance is relatively the same in gaming. The i7 would handle rendering a little better but considering 6500 is newer and motherboards will be more available, going the i5 would be the best way.

Will the i5 6500 work fine with AC origins?

Can't give you a definit answer but the i5 6500 will be fine in most games but AC Origins isn't optimised well.
