i7 4770k problem

when i turn on my pc
running 3.7 to 3.8 MHZ @ CPUZ-hwinfo-realtemp,
why my cpu is running 3,7 - 3.8 mhz

im not ussing application.

note* i observe w/in almost 1hr...
and never down to 3.7 mhz below

what the hell??

what happen? have a virus??

Go in to power options and change your power plan from high performance to balanced.

It's just a power option. Hi performance will run you CPU at 100% speed all the time and because of turbo boos it goes to 3.8GHz.
My 4770 did same thing. There is no need for that high performance settings as it will go back to 3.8 if it needs to and save you energy when it's not needed.
I say keep it in balanced mode. ( i do and never had any issues in games)
