i7 4790k & H100i Temperatures

I stress tested my CPU for just under 2 hours (is this the amount of time you should or?) and the idle temperature was 23 degrees, the maximum reached 70 degrees for 2 seconds (used Corsair link to log the temperatures), other than that is stayed around 68-69 degrees, is this acceptable? The CPU is currently at core clock speed (4.0GHz) and the factory voltage

Yes that's fine. I've seen benchmarks using Prime95 for 24 hours and temps stayed around 70-73C using the H100i.

I have the same setup for me as well. i7 4790K and H100i and its stays around 68-70 degrees which is quite ok. Just check if it goes above 90 degrees cause thats when you should worry. Or else all is good. I did the stress test with Prim95 for 2 hours and its around 70 degrees mark.


I did overclocked CPU to 4.3 stable and idle is around 40 degrees. I used the IC Diamond thermal paste trust me this makes the difference. Let me know if you have any queries .
