I7 4790k + mobo

Hello, so im not that good in cpus but is the i7 4790k still good in 2018? If i can get it for 150€ or less and i have to mb that i can buy,
1- Gigabyte Z97x-gaming 3 for 115€
2- Msi z97-g43 for 50€
They are used i might get some buck off.

Currently i have a10 5800k and i dont have that money to get a new cpu with ddr4 🙁

i'm still running a 4790(non-k) on another computer and am real happy with it - plan to continue for at least 2+ more years

If you already have DDR3, and you can get it under 200(cpu+mobo), then its a good buy. It is still pretty good for gaming.
Make sure you torture test it before purchase. You can use Prime 95/IBO/AIDA for that.

The 4790K is a pretty solid performing CPU and is you can get the Gigabyte for 115 you can do some overclocking and really make that card shine.

Just do your due diligence and avoid any "too good to be true" deals.

These CPU's either don't work, have SERIOUS over heating issues, or are so used that they have very little life left in them.
