I7 4790K not running at its full potential

My intel core i7 4790k (which i just got recently) has not been doing its full potential.I know this because all of my friends who have lower PC specs get better fps in games.

I Can't find any solution for this . If you are wounding i got a profesonal to install it.

My specs:

(Just New) Intel Core I7 4790K Unlocked
(Just New) ASUS Z97-K - Socket 1150 - ATX

MSI GTX 970 4GB


If any one can help me with this problem i'd be so greatful !

We need a lot more information. FPS in what games and under what circumstances. Is it overclocked?

FPS is based on GPU speed and settings more than CPU. We also need to know about memory.

No its not overclocked i got it straight out of the box i was testing the games on the ultra preset and as the same as my friends who have lower specs then mine and getting better then me.

I have 8gb of DDR3 ram

I am playing on the Ultra preset in all of the games . All of my friends who have lower system specs are doing the same and are getting better FPS then me

Do you have all the latest drivers?
Give us numbers. What benchmarks, what games, and how few FPS? What are these other systems of your friends? (Details of CPU and GPU at least)

You are saying my computer is not as good as my friends', what can I do about it. Without a lot more information we cannot help you.

Tradesman1 is asking if you have overclocked, you have not, and wants to know if your memory is running at the right speed. (XMP in BIOS), and whether your PSU is up to driving your system at full power. What brand, model, and wattage is it?

Get the free software for CPU-Z and post the pictures of the information on each of the tabs for your computer and we can work out a lot about your system.

Memory: 8gb DDR3 1600 Mhz (8GB By 8)

Yea i have downloaded all the latest drivers.

In BF4 i should be getting 120 PLus on ultra preset and only getting 80FPS
Arma 3 on Ultra getting like 20-25 fps in towns and 30-40 out of towns

For Arma 3 are you running from a server, or is this for offline missions? More importantly, if you are running on a server, are you using the same server as your friends with higher performance?
