i7 4790k Should I Delid

So I just switched from AMD to Intel (yay), But I am not sure if i should delid of 4790k. I idle at about 30-34C and when stressing just FPU on adia 64 I hit Max of 80C usally holds at 78C. Intel ETU Will produce 60C - 65C and Prime 95 26.6 will hit low 70's.

I have already ordered some CL Pro and MX 4 as i plan to water cool my 970 GTX next week. I have everything I need to do the delid but from what i seemt o be reading most people seem to be hitting idle of 30 and highs of 60C after delidding. So a little confused on weather I should even bother

That depends, is the risk of killing your £270 CPU worth the temperature drop? You'd be better off upgrading your cooler instead in my opinion.

I would not. Those are normal temperatures for that chip. What are you cooling it with ATM?
