Hello everyone... i build a all around rig for me. using Asus mother board the I7 4790k with cosair H60 water cooler. My son and I build this machine, since we are talking temps.. we used the paste that was already on the H60 pump mount to the cpu. First should i removed that paste and went with something better? Now i AM TRYING TO LEARN ABOUT OVER CLOCKING... And with the Asus mother board i have the 5 way optimization... i know it's not the fastest and don't care to have and i had a budget to keep what i wanted at 1400.00 i also have the gtx-760 asus video card.
i am happy with the machine only thing is it jumps up in temp my mother board temp is running at 25c and cpu runs around 33-34c just normal surfing the internet. please let me know what you all think about the paste thank you ps... if i try a stress test i get high temps on the cpu... maybe we did not mount it correctly or should i run the bios in manual mode for voltage to cpu doing a test like that... I am just not sure. i got out of ham radio i just got bored with it and sold everything to build this system i am 53 and trying a new trick. i hope to hear from you guys thanks for reading this long post.
