Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my current setup and I'm looking at team Intel for the CPU (previously had AMD). I play a wide range of games, dabble a little bit in video editing and recording. I am basically spending the money on the machine now so I don't have to upgrade/spend for a long time.

First build option(i7-5820k): http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/7bNwGX

Second Build option(i7-4790k): http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/dqPysY

Current Build
AMD FX-6300 OC 4GHz 6-Core
CM Hyper 212 EVO
2x MSI GTX 970 Gaming Twin Frozr
ASRock 970 EXTREME4
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB
Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240GB
500GB OCZ Trion 100 SSD
WD Blue 4TB 3.5"
Fractal Design Define R4
Windows 10 Pro

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated :)

I'd rather go with i7-4790k build. i7-5820k build is much more expensive and not worth it. If you intend to use that rig for video processing/editing and such, go with i7-5820k. It will prove more valuable there.

The i7 4790K is a very powerful CPU and it will handle video editing with ease unless you are a fulltime professional 4K video editor. I personally own the i5 4690K and it suits me perfectly for my YouTube channel. (Even though it does not have hyper-threading)
In gaming, you will not gain much more with the 5820K so without doubt go with the cheaper processor.
