i7 4790k weird speeds?

Are these speeds normal? Isn't Turbo mode supposed to be on 1 core only? How does this work?

It's a little different on the older chips.

So that means I am getting a better performance than average? Something like an overclock? I have a cheap H 81M MB tho

I've never actually put a k chip in a h81 but the ones I dropped in z97 boards all did the same thing

They get better performance than average? Or i'm living in a delusion? I don't really know how the turbo works, i just know the base speed should be 4.0 on all cores

They'll all run 4.2 fully threaded many boards cheat oc processors to try to look better in reviews. Kind of started with haswell chips

I figure 50+ % of 4790k have been overclocked

Rerun the test watching cpuz to see what clockspeed is when it's running the early tests

Also it says you have a lot of background stuff running close everything except the benchmark and cpuz

Btw, I'm running it with a stock 4th gen i3 cooler because I'm waiting for the new one to arrive, got highest of 78 C.

That's fine I wouldn't want that cooler on there permanently and keep an eye out for overheating on extended gaming or rendering sessions. The i3 cooler is smaller than the stock I7 one. I suspect it would throttle on a long prime run if you hit 78 on userbenchmark

Yeah man, the cooler will be replaced in 2 or 3 days at most, i don't even play games now, trying to keep it under 70C, since the cooler is miserable for this processor.
I was just wondering if my CPU is alright, got it from aliexpress XD
