H97 Mobo but a K processor? This way you will not overclock, right? Then you should buy a non K processor, also, for a gaming PC an i5 is good enough. I'd recommend a I5-4690 for example. For power supply, you should be OK with that one.
If you want to check more, below in my signature click the link "Power Supply Tier list", also a "Motherboard Tier list".
A few suggestions for more quality and future-proof, but more expensive parts:
HDD I'd go with a Western Digital Blue/Black. Memory I'd go with 2x8GB, so in the future you can buy 2 more and have 32GB when things get more demanding. Cooler maybe some more expensive like the Hyper 212 EVO or a Noctua NH-D14/NH-D15.
For now, I'd at least change the cpu to save some money, then you decide if want to invest in anything else, but you should be ok.

you do not need a i7 4790k for gaming

thx for the input!!!! I am stuck on the i7-4970k as I may want to try to overclock. $1009.33 really fits my budget but would it be a good idea if I threw another $100 at this and got the 4970k with the rest of the parts you listed?
