1000w is a lot of power. High end gaming machines don't typically need that much (850w for a pair of GTX 980 GPUs leaves room for overhead). Are you running multiple GPUs, or what type of setup are you after?

Those things don't have enough of a power draw to worry about at that level. Build your system using the link below and note the wattage requirement change as you add / remove components. Graphics cards dictate going larger on a power supply...
