Hey guys, I am planning on buying a new laptop soon and i wanted to know, is there an actual benefit to buying an I7 instead of an I5 when it comes to their laptop addition?
I will be using it for studying(university), coding, browsing the web and the like, no gaming in sight for the laptop

Solution
The most important performance component for a laptop is a ssd for windows.
6th gen intel mobile chips are plenty fast; save your money and buy the cheaper one.

Even a I3 version would be sufficiently fast if you have a ssd.

The only Difference between both chips is 300MHz in their clockspeed and 1MB of additional L3 Cache. For the massive price difference listed on ark, the i5 seems like the no brainer choice since at worst it's going to be 5-10% slower than the i7.
