i7 6700 and GTX 980 or i7 6700k and GTX 970

Both of these computers have the same specs besides the processor and graphics card. I was just wondering which one would be better for gaming and rendering videos at 1920x1080p. Both of the computers are also the exact same price.

well a 980 is faster but in terms of priceing a waste of money because a 970 can be overclocked to the speed of a 980
if your just getting a new build i would wait as in 28 days nvidias gtx 1070 is something out along with the 1080 and we know the 1070 is going to be as fast as a titan x so i would wait for that

Wait for Pascal. Seriously. See if their performance gains are as good as they're claiming. No way I would buy a 980 right now.

i7 6600k will be good, but wait for GTX 1080 or 1070 being this close!
