Hi. It took me a while to find my stable overclock, but my i7 6700k is currently stable at 4.5Ghz with adaptive voltage - using 1.325v core with a 0.025v offset.
During loads the voltage jumps back and forth between 1.344v and 1.36v, temps are anywhere around 60-70c.
During idling the voltage is anywhere between 0.768v to 0.8v and thus my temps remain very cool (22-26c)

I've got some other questions in mind --> Is this overclock good enough that my CPU won't be 'damaged' in the long run? Are the temperatures considered to be safe with my voltage settings? And do you think I could possibly lower my voltages any further to yield better temps?

Appreciate all answers given, thankyou

Zeroark,

What "loads"? Not all "loads" are created equal. "Load" is a term that gets tossed around like Gorilla poo in a cage.

What is your ambient (room) temperature? Most people don't say, and hardly anyone asks.

Core temperatures depend greatly upon those two variables. Nevertheless, here's the ambient temperature conversions and a short scale:

Cx9/5+32=F ... or ... F-32/9x5=C ... or a change of 1C = a change of 1.8F

30.0C = 86.0F Hot
29.0C = 84.2F
28.0C = 82.4F
27.0C = 80.6F
26.0C = 78.8F Warm
25.0C = 77.0F
24.0C = 75.2F
23.0C = 73.4F
22.0C = 71.6F Norm ... or ... 22.2C = 72.0F
21.0C = 69.8F
20.0C = 68.0F
19.0C = 66.2F
18.0C = 64.4F...

21.0C = 69.8F
20.0C = 68.0F
19.0C = 66.2F
18.0C = 64.4F Cool

Also, Here's the recommended operating range for Core temperature:

80C Hot (100% Load)
75C Warm
70C Warm (Heavy Load)
60C Norm
50C Norm (Medium Load)
40C Norm
30C Cool (Idle)
25C Cool

Core temperatures in the mid 70's are safe, so just keep it under 80.

If you want to learn how to perform a proper thermal test using a proper 100% "load" so you can find your baseline Core temperatures, then please read this Sticky:
