Hi guys. I looked everywhere and i didn't find one single solution to my problem.
So i recently upgraded from an i7 4770k to an i7 6700k. My problem is that when i play games such as BF1 or Rainbow six siege i get a cpu usage from 80 to 100%. in BF1 it sometimes hits a 100%. and i see it in my framerates too. I made a video back then when i had the i7 4700k and even on ultra i had a cpu usage of 60%. now i can't get under 70% cpu usage in any of these two games.

my specs:
i7 6700k
gtx 1060 6gb
asus maximus ranger VIII
Corsair 8gb ram
120gb SSD (system)
500gb HDD(games) the HDD is brand new

Thanks for your help!

Ive got a video of my 4790K at 100% usage across all threads in BF1. I think it's just the game. They did do a major update a while back. It may be what changed.

Well I noticed in your video you stayed on the edge of the map in the open terrain. So of course you were getting over 100fps on Ultra. Did you get the same performance during actual battles all over the map?

Also, what made you upgrade if you were still getting great performance?

i just tried it on a 64 player server. the performance still sucks. i can put it on ultra or low. it's almost the same. i get +10 fps on low but that's it. maybe it's because of the 8gb of ram? do i need more? because when i had the 4770k i had almost 8gb ram usage. you can see it in the video. and now i can't get above 7gb of ram...
I just wanted to have skylake...

I don't think more RAM would increase your fps, it might help keep it from dipping to a low fps though.

I think your video of your 4770K is unrealistic performance because you didn't move around to the middle of the map. You said it never drops below 100fps in your video, and I haven't seen a single system with a GTX 1060 6GB that could maintain 100+fps throughout an entire match on Ultra 1080p; unless of course they stayed on the edge of the map where the spawn point is.
