[SOLVED] i7 6700k idle temp changes and max temps changes

im having some problems with getting my i7 6700k cpu to idle correctly. sometimes it will seem fine and other times it will idle really high. i have no clue whats going. any help will be apreciated

When it's idling high go into task manager and sort the cpu column and see what's using the cpu.

its showing 4% of my cpu is being used

but in hw monitor program its showing my cpu mhz is at 4.2 which is max for my cpu with no overclock. also i noticed if i open task manager my clock drops in hw monitor

still idling at 40c dosnt make sense last night i was idling at 24c and mx at 59c

unless my corsair cooler is going out i dont know. this has happened alot of times now. but it has fixed itself in the past. i have changed the heat sink 3 pin connector to another header before and it went back to normal. which now isnt doing that just same thing high temps. bios fans are set to full. and i use icue program to control my corsair cooler

problem was solved. my pump in my cooler was going out. baught a new cooler. temps dropped down to 16c idling and 49c maxed. thanks for the replies
