hello,

i read a lot of topic about it but i cant get it right, i suck sorry 🙁

i did oc my i7 6700k on my hero 8, i tried 1.280v at 4.4ghz and its stable and i m fine with it.

i would like to put this stupid adaptive voltage now, if i read correctly, my frequency should move around at low frequency and low voltage to 4.4ghz with the max voltage of 1.280v ?

when i tried, my frequency stick to 4.4ghz ( it doesnt go under 🙁 and the voltage set in additional turbo mode cpu core voltage 1.280v but it's a litle more in cpuz

litle help please, got the last version of the bios

Solution
with adaptive voltage you can set the max vcore it can go, atleast with my asus z-170p you can, so it wont overvolt. MANY ppl with do a high overlock and make sure its stable then go to adaptive voltage and set max voltage, that way your not making your cpu set on a high voltage all the time.

if you want the frequency to go down, go to your power options in windows and select "balanced"
If you are overclocking I would keep adaptive voltage off. It may have some undesired effects. Like over volt\under volt and excess heat.

If your overclock is stable and the temps are good just sit back and enjoy.
