I got Asus vivobook N580V
i7-7700 HQ
RAM 8gb
GTX 1050 4gb
Intel HD Graphic 630 4gb

I think it's good enough to play games such as Dota2 and CSGO, but why my fps are far below my expectation? I barely got 100 fps (Dota2) and 60 fps (CSGO) please help me! I don't know how to simply use my GTX 1050 for gaming 🙁

Solution
sounds to me like you have Vsync on for CSGO, and for Dota, your hitting the right FPS. You've a farily decent laptop, and although the CPU is quite good, the GPU is where you fall down. The GTX1050 is a midrange card. If the laptop you have is the 4k panel, you are gonna struggle to get more FPS. Thats just the limitations of the card. If you have the 1080p panel, then you will still have trouble hitting high FPS. Firstly because it's probably a 60hz panel, and you won't display more than 60fps anyway. Even if it's the 1080p version hitting 100fps with the 1050 in any game is quite decent. Although Dota2 isn't that demanding.

What res is your lappie?

Edit: Keep in mind, when you're talking about 100fps, thats only the software...
go into your Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings > Select to use High Performance Processor
If you tried that and it doesn't work, set the individual program (ie. Minecraft) to launch with it in the programs list (directly beside "Global Settings")

Updates: Above is how to use dedicated gpu.
4k screen with a 1050 card...
I suggest you get a 1080p monitor and play on the monitor instead...
Agree with below.

Edit: Keep in mind, when you're talking about 100fps, thats only the software showing the FPS at the end of the GPU pipeline. Thats not what's actually displayed on screen. For example, i have a 1080p monitor that refreshes at 60hz. That means the max on screen fps is 60 fps. But when I have fraps or rivatuner displaying the FPS it says 100 or 200 or whatever. The software is telling you what the output from the card is, but you monitor/screen can't display it because the monitor is limited to the hz/FPS actual.

Solution

so in order for me to get more fps, I have to play with an additional monitor right? (the 1080p one/ maybe 720p one) actually even though I only got 100 fps (dota2) and 60 fps (csgo) its already smooth enough.., but when I saw on youtube people were playing csgo using gtx 1050 4gb they got stable with 200 fps, then I was curious I thought I should have the fps around that too

btw thanks for your kind reply and solution, I would try your solution and if I may ask for another question, how to play with another monitor? I have one already, but how to play with it? to change/move the screen..?

I have tried it before by using a high performance processor through NVidia control panel, still only got low fps.. maybe you are right, the monitor with 4k is the problem, then i'll just changing it to 1080p monitor and will see the result. btw thanks for your kind answer hehe

providing your laptop has an hdmi out, you just plug the monitor in with a cable, and reset the resolution to the monitors native resolution. It's straight forward enough.
