Hello, I recently upgraded to an i7 7700k and a 1070 and im not that happy with some games not running quite well.. So I was thinking about upgrading to an 1080 ti or any RTX. I saw on bottleneck calculator there's like 16% bottlenecking. Someone that can help me if I should upgrade or no?

16 ddr4 2400mhz ram
i7 7700k
asus rog strix 1070

Oh okay. Well if you're down to do that, that would be amazing keep in mind for some reason fortnite downloads slowly...
Ok, i'm also thinking in the back of my mind that this is a optimization issue on Fortnite's end. That video was from two years ago and a lot of optimization has probably happened since now and then. I've seen it many times where over time they add graphics to the game that makes it more demanding on said hardware. However if you expect to match fps to 144hz refresh rate on a 1080p panel for higher end triple A titles, i'd definitely say without a reason of a doubt that you are due for a graphics card upgrade. Especially if you like to play on ultra/epic settings.

And what are you seeing as performance? I don't think that CPU should have a big problem, and i'd be surprised if the 1070 can't get close to 144 @ 1080p
I started playing destiny 2 today and in cities or whatever you call them i get as low as 60 sometimes on highest. fortnite I get on epic 75-105, rainbow six ultra 120 ish.. it depends on the games i play

All seem a bit lower than expected, certainly an issue to be solved rather than new hardware to be brought at this point.
what clocks and utilisation are you actually seeing on the CPU and GPU whilst gaming.
I would need to check that out. How do I do that?

Okay I did run the test using msi afterburner (idk how to insert image from desktop):
1847mhz
4000mhz
59 degrees
Fortnite ran on Medium, 144 fps cap. New gpu driver came out today and I updated it. Ran better than yesterday, tho fortnite had some fps issues in chapter 2. But Fortnite is the only game I tested.

It ran 144 constant sometimes dropped to 120ish
