Hi everyone!
2 days ago i finished my new build.
complete system specs -
i7 7700k
Msi z270 sli plus
Msi gtx 1070 gaming edition
Corsair h80i
Gskill ripjaws V 8gb 2400mhz
Corsair TX850 v2 psu
Samsung 850 evo 250gb
Wd blue 1tb hdd
Nzxt s340 white case
Everything is working fine and i am getting top notch performance in games. But i have a confusion regarding the clock speed of i7 7700k, in msi command centre my cpu clock speed is set to 4.5ghz(it should be set to 4.2ghz which is the official base clock speed) without overclocking and it remains constant whether under load or off load. I have enabled XMP in order to achieve the promised speed(2400mhz) for my ram. So whats the main reason for higher clock speed , is it XMP or something else.
