My build:
OS: W10 PRO x64
MB: Asus Z170-E
RAM: 2x DDR4 4GB HyperX 2800mhz
GPU: GB GTX 970 G1 Gaming
CPU: i7-7700K
PSU: EVGA 600B
Cooler: Corsair H55
Case: BitFenix Ronin Black
Ambient temperature: 34 degrees
Issue:
Whenever I'm gaming, my cpu hits 90+ degrees while on heavy load, even in not so demanding games, like CS:GO, my cpu hits about 73 degrees. Is that common for an i7 with a low budget cooler? It is still a watercooler, and I hope it is better than the coolerbox. I built the PC myself, It's the first time, so I don't know exactly what is causing this overheat.
I'm using an industrial thermal paste, and thinking of gettin an Arctic Silver 5 and see how it goes. The heatsink is mounted properly, I've checked a dozen times and reseated it 3 times just to be sure. Can the overheating be caused by something else apart from the low budget cooler or the thermal paste?
