hello everyone
i just bought brand new pc parts
i built the pc and it runs , everything is good
so after like 1 week when i was playing
suddenly my cpus cooler goes so loud then i got black screen on my monitor and i couldnt do anything so i restarted it from the case button and backed to playing like nothing just happend
so i downloaded cpu monitor to watch my cpu temp
in idle i got 30-37c
but when i playing some games like bf1 or playing some rocket league and recording the game from nvidia experience i got temp up to 85 c
idk what the problem but i've read that the i7 7700k has issue with temp with OVERCLOCK
but i didnt overclock anything , i works with the stock frequency with turbo boost up to 4.45ghz as 100% cpu's usage ..
so what should i do to lower these temps.
and thank u all

my pc specs :
CPU :i7 7700k
Ram :corsair 16 gb ram 2400mhz
Motherboard :msi z270 pro carbon
GPU: msi gtx 1060

Solution
Case cooling?

Mine doesn't get that hot at 4.8 GHz playing games, high 60's to low 70's MAX.

Yes I am on air also, NH-U12S.

Cooler Master Mastercase 5 Pro, 3X 140mm case fans, 2 front, one rear.

GB GA Z270 Gaming K3 motherboard.

RX RS 480 8 GB.

Maybe try removing the cooler and reapplying the thermal paste and being careful putting it back on.

Do you have the latest BIOS update?

If that doesn't work you will need a better cooler.

Mine idles at 29-32C

85C is a tad warm, mine only hits 71-73C on Prime95/(small FFT) torture tests, and 55-59C on normal desktop/gaming ops at 4.2 GHz...

(You'd need to read a review/comparison of assorted coolers to see if your temps are typical for that cooler or not; I only know the Noctua NH-D15 keeps things quite cool, and is whisper quiet)
