Hey Everyone,

I got the following parts:
Asus IX Maximus Code
i7-7700k Proc
Noctua NH-D15 (single fan mode)
Corsair 570x

I'm noticing when running things like Aida64, I will get peak temps (not sustained) up to 68 degrees. Sustained temps seem to stay in the mid 50s to 62.

I assume these temps are pretty good for my setup? I'm not overclocking (at least not yet). I'm just curious if I should set a lower voltage to bring temps down.

I noticed while in Aida64, peak voltage hit around 1.287. That seemed kind of high, but then again I could be wrong.

Any thoughts or help?

Sorry I thought I mentioned! My 6700k is delided. Gave me a 12°C drop and put all my cores at almost the same temps.

If you delid, you are just about guaranteed to see a 15°C drop in your hottest core, most likely even more! Kaby Lake really benefits from a delid. Rockit Cool has a really easy to use tool you should check out.

My 6700K only hits 62C from Aidia64 and its overclocked to 4.6GHz @ 1.285v cooled by a NH-D15S

I guess from what I'm seeing Kaby Lake runs hotter then sky lake. Unless I got a bum processor, which i guess is possible too. I'd say I could delid, but probably not worth it yet.

7700K vs. 6700K - much hotter, barely faster
