Hello,

I restarted my computer while trying to deal with WiFi problems. I performed a dns flush prior to restarting my windows 10 pc to see if it would positively affect my spotty onboard WiFi but upon coming back to my computer, I was met with this screen and a cpu reaching a heat of 90c.

I have been searching for hours on a solution and root of the issue. My Corsair h100i v2 is plugged in as well as it possibly can be, and is connected to the cpu fan port on my motherboard. I have fans in the front and back of my pc and of course on my power supply. I have not tried a bios update yet and I don’t know if it’s possible. I can go to my desktop from the bios screen, and I tried performing a system restore but all I got was a blue screen error. Not sure what else I can do at this point, I don’t have any back up coolers to try and fix this. I’ve properly removed and reapplied some thermal paste but even that has no affect on it.

Solution
In the BIOS there are RPM limit settings . Below that RPM setting it generates an error. If you are using a water cooled CPU cooler, you can plug any fan into the CPU fan header to get around the error.
