[SOLVED] I7 7700k w/ h100i v2 overheating

I have a build I did a couple years ago now, and was playing BL3 the other day when I noticed my processor is overheating. Corsairlink is showing quite a lower temp than the processor temps. Link also shows fan and pump both running. Since the water temp seems significantly lower then the processor temp(~55 vs 90+) does that point to a thermal paste issue? I7 7700k, asus maximus IX hero.

i watch on yt guy testing applying thermal past all different ways and lastly put to much and different was +2 or 3 C more then normal...
