Hi everyone, hope you're well. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, I am new around here.
I have an i7 8086k and ASUS TUF Z390 Pro Motherboard that I won in a competition in 2018 and have been sat on my shelf ever since. Never opened. Back then I didn't have the money to build a PC around them.
My question is, will these 2 components handle well in 2021 - 2022, paired with an RTX 3080 for example? My plan is to buy this GPU when the GPU shortage is over.
I'm going to be playing games at 1440p, for example the next BF game coming out etc. As well as Tarkov, and maybe some single player games and newer games.
If I use these 2 components it'll save me about £400, as I wont have to buy a CPU or Motherboard.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
