2 scenarios
Playing a a shooter game that requires a bit of reasources while in discord screensharing (4 people total incl. me) and on and off on google/watching a video.

Discord call (4 people incl. me) while playing VR games (Assetto with VR and wheel setup etc.

for these 2 scenarios, which will benefit me more? the 8700k (6c12t) or the 9700k (8c8t)? as i checked out this site comparing them: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-9700K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-8700K/4030vs3937
Where the 9700k comes out the best but ive read a bit around here with mixed answers

Thanks alot for responses

Solution
The 8700K, not even a second thought, the extra 2 cores that the 9700k will give you is nice and all but you won't see much difference in the performance (maybe 3-5% better performance with the 9700k), not worth the 50$ price difference and you would need a Z390 mobo that usually costs more than a Z370 so you would get all of the performance out of the 9700k.
My recommendation for you and you are doing is the 8700k

Thanks for asnwer, i already have a Z390 board in my basket 😛 and if im willing to pay the 50 extra usd, then you would say go for 9700k? or still 8700k even if we take the price out of the question?
