i7-8750h vs i7-7700hq for gaming

Hello all,

I would like to know how much difference is there between an i7-8750h and i7-7700hq while gaming?

I would like to compare two laptops,
Asus ROG and MSI,both have Nvidia GTX 1070 GDDR5 GPUs,both have 16 GB DDR4 2400 MHz RAM, but they have different HDDs and CPUs.

The Asus has an i7-8750H, and the MSI has an i7-7700 HQ CPU.

And the Asus has a 1TB 5400rpm SSH (8GB SSD Hybrid) Firecuda HDD, but the MSI has a 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD.

I watched two videos on YouTube,with playing GTA V on the both laptops and the MSI had higher framerates than the Asus,even it has a newer processor with the same video settings!

Don't worry too much about the HDD, they can be upgraded easily at a later time.

I don't plan to upgrade the HDD,so which laptop would you reccommend to me?

Some YouTubers say that the Asus overheats,but the MSI has better cooling!

If this MSI has better cooling and you aren't going to upgrade the HDD and you've seen better FPS results from the MSI, I think you have a clear winner here.
