i7-920 upgrade to i5-4690k?

Currently running:
i7-920 overclocked to 4.0Ghz
asus p6t deluxe mobo
6 gigs tri channel corsair dominator ram
r9 290x lightning

Would it be worth while to upgrade my system to a 1150 socket mobo and an i5-4690k with 8gigs of dual channel ram. I've priced the upgrade out to ~$450. Kind of on the fence about upgrading now or waiting for 2011-v3 to get more options/lower cost.

Nah, that is some nice overclock on that 920. I would wait to see what Skylake can do then upgrade.

No, the 920 is still good and wont cause bottlenevks in games, maybe just get the 8gb of ram.

thanks for the replies, glad I asked. Now I just have to ignore that itch to upgrade for a little while longer.
