thehutti Distinguished May 12, 2014 351 0 19,160 Apr 9, 2019 #2 Maybe the core is working on an AVX-Load for a short time, that is known to generate more heat. Most mainboard have an option "AVX offset" for this case to not clock the CPU as high if it's handling AVX loads. Upvote 0 Downvote
