[SOLVED] i9 9900 on an Asus Prime b365mk ?

Hi All,

Im planning of buying an i9 9900 non K for this motherboard (asus prime b365m-k), is this motherboard any good for such a high power cpu?
Im also look to upgrade my current gtx 1660 to a rtx 3060 (ti) somewhere early next year.

Can this motherboard handle those parts together for gaming?

On Asus website it says it can drive even 9900K which is 95W, 9900 is 65W.

Your motherboard supports a i9-9900 as of bios level 0606.
Update the bios before swapping processor.
9900 is still a hot processor.
To get maximum turbo performance out of the chip, plan on a good cooler.
What is the make/model of your case.

Thanks, I was planning of running it on a hyper evo 212 or anything in that category, should ok enough I suppose its a locked part so no OC.

I was also looking at the i7 9700 but the lack of HT worries for future games....

I would go stronger on the cooler.
9900 will turbo up better with a good cooler.
Look at a noctua NH-D15s for example.
