so my corsair hydro h110i aio is 3+years old maybe even 4+ icant recall but basically my i9 9900k idle temps are 44-54c and under gaming loads like need for speed shift or battlefield v its hitting 88-98c which is scary. ive just ordered a NZXT kraken x63 do you think that with solve the cooling issue? also i have all cores at 5ghz.

Solution
CASE: antec p110
the vents in the sides of the front panel will offer pretty decent airflow if you have high airflow fans in place. my previous Dark Base 700 & my current Vector RS have a similar design but have never had issues with temperatures.

remove the dock from the front-top slot,
and add 3x good fans to the front panel.
some to consider:
be quiet! Silent Wings 3
Noctua NF-A4 iPPC

and make sure the cover is removed from the top vents where the radiator is mounted.
if this is in place barely any CPU heat will be exhausted.

Did you pluggin the 9pin to micro usb into your mobo 9pin header and the micro usb into the side of the pump head?
If not You Will not be able to control pump or fan speeds and get No readings of rpms.
i cant see that, my new aio will be here tomorrow so then i will do that with that one and then the old fans on my old aio can go to the front of the case as well

Also you ran Corsair link4 which works but Icue has replaced it.
If you did install the the 9pin to usb
Look in device manager in the usb section and see if you have any corsar or any unknown devices the.
If you have a corsair usb there make sure it is Enabled.
i dont see any corsair usb in device manager

When you installed corsair link 4 it will install the drivers for the unit but with out the 9pin to micro usb hooked the program and controls are useless rendering the pump and fans to run at a default spped all the time no matter what the cpu temp is running.

Hooking the fans to system fan headers is the only work around I know of.
If you have a Y fan splitter you can run both fans from the cpu fan header.

Just FYI, I have had AIO pumps go bad in the past. Sometimes when they do they still spin, but due to corrosion or erosion they quit moving water as much which messes everything up. If your temp has gradually increased over time I would replace the cooler regardless. Case fans or no case fans something is changing on your system and the AIO is the most likely culprit. I went back to big air because of a similar issue.
