[SOLVED] i9-9900k Hitting 86C in Cinebench R20

So I was doing some Cinebench with my i9-9900k and a Cooler Master ML240L and I was hitting 86C which I don't think is normal. If anybody could help that would be great.

Well the 86 is pretty high, are you running any overclocks?, check the fan curves, clean out the radiator and fans from dust, dust build up between radiator and fan can cause high temps.

Check if the AIO is mounted properly and check for pipe blockage. Feel the AIO as you're doing a benchmark and see if only the CPU block is hot. If so, that's bad and there's a problem with the AIO. Everything, the radiator, pipes and pump should be warm.

Looks about right. The 9900k is a very hot cpu and 240mm AIO’s can be outperformed by high end air coolers. I think you really wanted a high end 280 or 360mm AIO.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I'm going to upgrade to a Corsair H100i RGB Platinum. Hopefully that will help my temps.

It will NOT. 240mm simply aren't enough for a 9900K ran through stress tests. Your results are expected.
280mm stock, 360mm overclocked.

That’s another 240mm, it’s not going to make any noticeable difference.

h100i is still 240mm gonna perform the same as the one you have. So get a 280mm or 360mm for a noticeable difference

The problem is that my case only supports up to 240mm. I have the NZXT H510.

86C running that benchmark is not to bad with the cooler you have.
