[SOLVED] i9-9900K vs. i9-9900KF?

Being on a Z390 chipset and an i7-9700K, I was looking for a possible upgrade of the CPU.

To my surprise, the i9-9900KF, that lacks the iGPU, is more expensive than an i9-9900K.

Is there any advantage that the KF has over the K?

None at all their the same processor just one has no built in graphics.

No, there are no benefits to the disconnect, it is purely to sell chips that would otherwise have been discarded.

I have seen no performance differences.
Buy the K, integrated graphics is useful for a new build and lets you still run if you have a bad discrete graphics card.

The IGP is still physically present, merely disabled either by necessity due to defect or just to meet demand. No power nor silicon is saved over just getting a KnonF CPU and turning the IGP off in BIOS.

That’s what I thought too!
But I was puzzled by the fact that the KF version is more expensive, instead of being cheaper compared to the K version.
