I'm looking to take out Iarnvidiur, but I can't find much information
on her. Does anyone know of a raid guide, or have some information
they could share from personal experience?

Any infomration is much appreciated!

For those who don't know, Iarnvidiur is an Epic Boss in Iarnvidiur's
Lair. This is a dungeon in Midgard, Iarnwood Forest, SI.

Thanks!

Hmmmm, usually Allakhazam is more useful than this, but still:

Level 65 - like a lot of the Alb Llyn Barfog critters, so can probably be
done with a fg of high 40's or a handful of 50s.

Good luck!

Dan

Thanks for the help, Dan!

I'm expecting at least 10 level 50's to show up, and another 10-20
level 35+ (mostly in the 40's), so I think I'm covered as far as
man-power goes. Very interested in slaying Iarnvidiur, though, so if
you happen to come across information on killing her, that would be
MUCH appreciated!

As far as getting around in Iarn, I've been all over it; very cool
place. If anyone reading this hasn't been there, I'd definatly
recommend making a stop. Make sure you've got cure disease with you,
though!

No worries matey :) Just remember - an Alb helped a Middie! 😉

I will see what I can see - From what I read, it's one of the
less-explored dungeons out there, so those going along that aren't 50
might/should get some nice XP with Camp Bonuses and such like. Dungeons
that aren't teeming with people are always very nice!

If I ever happen to find myself on Midguard and of a high enough level
(says he that has as yet only levelled one character to 50!) then I will
have a lookie-see! There are lots of place on Alb I would love to go, but
not everyone is keen on it. *shrug* Some people have no sense of
adventure! :)

If I find anything else, I will stick it on here for you - I did find
some pictures of a group wipe out though!

Found the following:

=====
Guild Elysium took the boss mobs today with 50 Champion, 50 Healer, 50
Shaman, 49 Ice Wizard, 49 Blademaster, 47 Berserker , and 42 Druid.
Dyranapur and Lydsyg are the easiest to kill, they are named Skuggande and
can be easily tanked or pbaoe'd. The Ancient Syver can be handled easily if
all the casters go back in the tunnel area away from his AOE nuke, good to
have aug healer here so tanks can just pummel him down fast with haste.
Stanga on the other hand is a very tough doggie, the main problem here is
the adds from the grymvargs which can easily wipe a good grp out. From my
experience Stanga should not be done unless the The Ancient Syver is first
killed so Stanga can be pulled away from the spawn area of the grymvargs. In
addition, Stanga seems to get stronger when around 20% life, so be careful.
This is one tough boss to kill due to adds. Droom is quite easy though.
Simply single pull the narfi's until Droom is left, have all the casters out
of his AOE debuff range attack and just melee him to death with tanks, again
this strategy is similiar to The Ancient Syver. Also good to have aug healer
as well for this encounter. Mahattava was not to tough, the best place to
pull is from the north on the beach. Have a tank go in water and pull the
fish back on land. Mahattava hits hard so make sure tanks keep aggro cause
healer will drop fast. Delegalt is the same strategy as Mahattava, just
melee to death. The last 3 bosses Hati, Skoll , and Iarnvidiur should not be
attemped unless you have a battlegroup as they are very, very tough.

And also, the info about the named critter, she is apparently level 80 (!!):

=====
Iarnvidiur itself is 80+. We attacked with about 30 people and didnt got her
down because she regenerated her hp faster than we did damage to her.
She can teleport around which is really annoying as a tank to hit her and
she teleports people randomly into the water under the bridge. If she does
this you can climb up at pillars, but be aware of the red-con aggro mobs
down there (red to 50).
=====

Taken from the same place.

Screenies at http://www.amazonsofmidgard.com/Gallery/pages/73Iarn.htm show
her being beaten, but the group(s?) had to give up after getting her down to
50% as it took too long, and I suspect, a lot of them died.

At http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=4922&TabID=37301 they PA'd
her to death!

Hope that's a bit more info for you :)

Wow. Now thats what I call information!

Thanks for your help, Dan! I'll be sure to update you with what
happens! Since NF is coming, it might be a bit before we can get out
their (raid was scheduled for the day after release, so it'll probably
be hard to get people out to the raid!).

Thanks again!
