Ibm thinkpad t42 audio drivers for windows 7

hey i have a laptop ibm thinkpad t42, i have installed windows 7 but the audio drivers didnt update. i have been searching for the same in vain. Any help will be appreciated.

You went to the IBM support page and entered in your model number ? Also have you tried looking up the audio chip brand and going to that web pag to look for drivers? The sound chip on the motherboard is AD1981B and there is a matching driver that is for a Dell computer that you can try.

try thinkvantage update software it will automatically update your drivers

i have run windows 7 on a t42 before and the sound did work
