Without a price, all the specs are sort of worthless. It isn't so much about what you are getting, but what you are getting for the money.

Unlike PCs, for the tablet market, like the iPod/iTouch market, what's under the hood isn't nearly as important as the user interface, apps, and other non-techie feel-good stuff that Apple has going for it.

Running on Android is a strong step in the right direction, though...

"Infrared for communication with consumer electronics" If I am reading this correctly, then with the proper app you can have a pretty slick universal remote with Gemini? If so, neat.

[citation][nom]mianmian[/nom]The spec looks great. But tablet things need good contents and apps. Wish android could do well on this one.[/citation]
You are right but give it a little more time, by Christmas this year there will be tons to choose from. I like the hardware on this and Android is the OS of choice for me too. Acer may come out with a nice aluminium one. I have a 13.3" Acer Timeline (aluminium) laptop running Ubuntu now and love it. About 6 Hrs (real-time) battery life too.

Perhaps the most important feature it has that the iPad lacks: Flash Support

2 Questions, How Much and when is it going to be released? Nothing against you Tom's but I am getting tired of the This is Going to blow away (add device name here)!! When it doesn't mean a thing unless you have a projected Cost and Time. Same could be said for the Courier!! Looks cool, but what about date and cost?

[citation][nom]JasonAkkerman[/nom]It makes cellular voice calls? Speakerphone only? It would look strange with that thing pressed against your head.[/citation]

it does have blue teeth

you culd also use headphones with mic like those that come with the iphone

but yes, it would look rather silly with this on your ear

Now the Gemini specs seems more reasonable than the iPad. The Android OS and replaceable battery are big plus.

Why would anyone settle for an iPad is beyond me. Somebody needs to teach Apple how to build a mobile device.

Probably connects to your bluetooth device of choice

Neeeeed input! Neeeeed INPUT! Love seeing competitive products. This thing sounds pretty bad ass. I have concerns with Android though. I don't know if it was a hardware issue but when I had the Archos 5 IT, that piece of crap crashed ALLLL THE TIME.

Do you remember how manny MP3 or media players being superior than the iPod/iPhone in the specs???. Most of then are irrelevant today. I don't need to buy from Apple and the iPad its not for me yet, but I wont invest on technical specs and even just on brand name. And don't you try to be polite on "ICD's Nvidia Tegra 2 Tablet Beats iPad Hands Down". To soon. whoever comes with a platform to grow, functional, fun well designed and to stay for very long will win my future tablet purchase if I ever buy one. So I need to wait. This is a device or platform for fun and look at the wii, it never won on the traditional specs.
