Very impressive but sadly I wont be installing it because GTA4 was so badly ported that even with a GTX560Ti i'm getting shoddy FPS, so a drop further would make it unplayable.

[citation][nom]killabanks[/nom]wow impressive Rockstar should scoop him up[/citation]

Anyone should scoop him up, seriously, they need to learn to do high def screening....

My PC is struggling to run icenhancer 😛 even with Anti Aliasing Off.

Only Around 20 FPS.. But still it makes my CPU usage lower, from 90% down to 60%. It's like from being CPU hog to GPU hog.

I need a 2500k and a GTX 670 for this ^^

There was talk when dx11 first came out that it would enable photorealistic textures... it appears that that's coming true. Good to see graphics advancing in spite of the consoles. Really hate to see things stagnate just because devs get lazy.

My opinion is that hardware manufacturer like Intel, AMD, Nvidia should have put up a game studio to make games that not just provide good gameplay but also push the limit of what the technology can offer. BF3 does spawn a wave of people buying/upgrading their PC just for a game.

The problem would still be console gaming. We already do have studios that release games that are massively demanding on hardware, but the majority of games are made for the majority hardware, ie. consoles.

Intel is a PC fanatics anyway.

I really do wish ActivisionBlizzard goes to cash heavy Intel, not EA or any independent developer.
so games are design from PC then only ported to consoles.

......GeForce 400-, 500-, 200- and 8800-series

Ahhh...those nvidia fiasco ridden cards.....again.....

Crysis 2, BF3, and Metro 2033? A list three games long that most hardcore gamers beat a year ago (save BF3 multiplayer) hardly justifies a $500 graphics card.

Those are the only games my "weak" GTX 570 can't maintain at 60fps on max settings. If my $200 card can do everything at 1080p, what are the $500 cards for?

My 2x 7970s are an asbolute neccessity at 2560x1400. I have no idea how I would get by with anything less tbh, not at high detail settings anyway.

And before anyone says otherwise, 2 overclocked 7970s are better than 2 GTX 680s at higher resolutions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a single 7970 handle Skyrim maxed at 2560x1400?

Yes you are correct, but Skyrim appears to built on antiquated technology if you ask me.

BF3, Total War 2: Shogun, Metro 2033, Alan Wake, Witcher 2 to name 5 I have played recently all utilize the power. Infact I can see by my GPU usage that I dont have much in reserve at all... the overclock I would say is necessary.
