I installed the mod, and I must say that I am impressed. The visuals is mainly on the cars. It is like they are all given like a metallic, candy paint job. The trees look good too. My pc does take a hit from this mod but it is ok since Rockstar couldn't port this game properly.

Awwww That's too bad. I gave up on PC gaming after that poor excuse for a game GTAIV came out.
Theres no way im wasting, i mean spending money on a powerful graphics card for my new ivybridge system.. . I'll let my xbox handle the games.

Too bad this game doesn't function with Crossfire. Hell it doesn't function with Crossfire disabled and 2 graphics card PHYSICALLY INSTALLED in the motherboard.

They should've hired him to work on GTAV so it wouldn't have to be some 3rd party stuff. But they don't care about mods because PS3/Xbox360 don't use em. And GTA is a joke of a port

my 680 crushed this mod 60fps with Anti Aliasing on max. The video is misleading, it uses the mod + a hi-rez texture pack, and other car mods. Out of the box the 3.7mb download will not make your game look like the video. I ended up breaking my game before I got to test this mod, with texture packs, and car mods.

[citation][nom]mazty[/nom]Very impressive but sadly I wont be installing it because GTA4 was so badly ported that even with a GTX560Ti i'm getting shoddy FPS, so a drop further would make it unplayable.[/citation]

Really? That's odd. I have a GTX 560 Ti and the game runs fluidly at 50+ fps. I'm just running it with the auto-configured settings tho. The main thing with GTA4 is that you need a quad core CPU to get it to run smoothly. Running with 2 cores enabled I get in the 30's, 4 cores in the 50's.

Rockstar wanted to make GTA IV atmosphere somewhat dark and obscure, pretty much like GTA 3, I kinda like it but I do agree this mod looks way better, I just wish it wasn't so colorful and kept some originality.

Theres no need for a high end VGA to play it in 1080p with this mod, worked fine with a eVga GTX 460 FTW 1GB

[citation][nom]dalauder[/nom]That's precisely why I don't understand people putting together these gaming rigs with 7970's talking about gaming on a single 1080p screen and adding another 7970 next year when Metro 2033 II is the only game that can use it.[/citation]

because its about minimum fps... i dont care if a game can go to 200fps, what i want to know is if it ever goes under 60... and even today, many "console held back" games are very demanding, even when not a poor port... so i can see the need for a high end card if you never want to see an under 60fps.

Holy shit. My computer must be awesome, average 30 fps with this:
GPU: GeForce GTS 450 over-clocked (GPU Clock 938, Shader Clock 1876, Memory Clock: 2102(4204)
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.00 GHz.
Motherboard: ASUStek P5K/EPU (775 Socket, DDR2, 4 DIMM slots)
RAM: 8GB DDR2 Ram (I know it's pretty old for this type of motherboard
GTA IV EFLC with Icenhancer running at 1600x1200 resolution and very high settings
Make sure you use -norestrictions -nomemrestrict in your commandline.txt.
