Hey guys, just want to know whether an idle temp of 34°C on my i7 2600K is good.
I recently put my build together. I want to check if this temp is okay because I feel like i put too little AS5 thermal compund, just one line as described in the AS instructions.

I have 2 front intake fans and 1 rear exhaust fan. And the Cooler Master hyper EVO 212 HSF.

I used RealTemp3.70 to measure the temperature.

Ambient temperature is around 26°C.

Also I haven't overclocked my CPU.

When running BF3 on everything ultra, i get temps around 64°C, and RealTemp3.70 reads 3800Mhz on the CPU.

Nothing to be greatly concerned by those temps, less is more when it comes to thermal compound so it's almost always better to apply what you think is too little than too much. You just want a thin coverage on the CPU to ensure flusch contact with the cooler. Too much and you create a mini blanket over the CPU causing it to run slightly hotter. Typically the biggest issue surrounding CPU coolers is not having it attached firmly or correctly but those temps certainly don't indicate that!
Best way to reduce temp further would be to add a top mount fan to your case (if you are able to).

Seems like you'd be getting better load temps with the EVO cooler if your processor is not overclocked. I don't even hit 64 C in games and mine is clocked @ 4.6

On the other hand, those temps you give aren't going to hurt ya at all
