IE 6 Fault

whenever I use MSN Messenger 7.5 to launch my IE6 to read Hotmail, it closes
immediately, otherwise, it functions normally if I launch it directly from
the taskbar.

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module
msvcrt.dll, version 7.0.2600.1106, fault address 0x00033ec0.

Is the machine fully up-to-date at Windows Update?
