Question if a motherboard only provides DP 1.2 ... does this limit in any way a GPUs (native) ability to function a DP 1.4?

New X570 boards are specking DP 1.2 ... i plan to use a GPU (RTX 4000) that supports DP 1.4 ... building a workstation ...

By the way, the motherboard DP connection only works when the CPU has an integrated video adapter. Also, it has no bearing on the type of DP connection on the GPU. They are separate and distinct from one another.

Thanks ... since the GPU is direct to the PCIe (4.0 no less) it was hard to imagine how the "DP 1.2 (why would they even incorporate such a low standard on such an advanced mb?)included on the x570 MB" would reduce performance or pose a compatibility issue.
