[SOLVED] If cable is touching back of motherboard, will anything be affected?

Hey everyone. I’m replacing my motherboard for my new build, and I was routing my cables through the back of my case this morning to make things easier when the mobo comes. One of the black sleeved cables would be touching the back of my mobo from behind the opening in the back of the case.

- why is there an opening there, it’s right under the CPU so is it for heat?
- if the sleeved cable is touching it will it short out anything? Do I have to reroute the cable?

Thanks?

Solution
You can route beneath the motherboard, just be carefull that its not on SMD components and its not bending motherboard like i said, you can try to press on cables and squish them with fingers to make them flatter, which also works perfectly.

Ok, it won’t be any trouble for me to reroute it, I’d just have to take off the rear tempered glass which can be a pain, but I also have to reroute the PCIe cables so I should probably do that.
