The Asus Maximus IX Hero is lga 1151 kaby-lake? In that case it's a move to Intel from AMD, so you'd not only need DDR4 ram, you'll also need a kaby-lake Intel cpu. You may have issues with Windows too, you'll probably need to contact Microsoft and hope they'll issue a new key, explain its a motherboard replacement, not a whole different pc.
