Hey! I want to build a PC for a family member. I will order the parts and assemble them at my home,
get everything ready and then i'll deliver it to him and install it.

Approximate Purchase Date: Open. No preference.

Budget Range: 1.500€ after shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming. Strictly A:SE and MC but i want to leave room for some additional power just incase he finds a new Game.

Are you buying a monitor: Edit: Yes. If it falls into the budget, a 32inch monitor would be nice.
60HZ is totally fine.

Parts to Upgrade: New Build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon Europe and other stores that deliver to Europe like Alza.

Location: Styria, Austria

Parts Preferences: I'll use the same case i've done in my own Build,
Montec Air 903 Base
https://at.pcpartpicker.com/product/kKcgXL/montech-air-903-base-atx-mid-tower-case-air-903-base-b

Overclocking: No

Multiple GPUs: No

I'll also need something that protects from static charge. Didn't care in my own build,
but i want to be on the safe side with someone else's money.

Your Monitor Resolution: I can't tell. Finding that out with the person im building the PC for would be an multi hour long process.

Additional Comments: Building it for a family member that is VERY PC illiterate. Anything that has the least chance of breaking/needing manual work is prefered.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: He has been constantly scammed by people with "ThIs Pc CaN rUn aNyThInG" just for me to check and find 20+ year old hardware.
I want to make sure that the PC i'll build for him runs like a charm.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Pretty strong build. CPU is pretty decent, has great gaming performance, along with a decent 1440p GPU.

Rest of the system is pretty well balanced. Some of the other users will have build options too, in particular @Why_Me among others. Keep the thread open for other options.

I wouldn’t go 32” as you’ll really want it to be 4K at that size, 27” you can get away with 1440p

Why don't you just get him a PS5? If it's just for gaming and he is so computer illiterate he might not have much fun with this. Consoles are made for that purpose.
He doesn't like Consoles. I've already suggested getting one years ago 😆
Think it might be because he hates Controllers.

He loves Gaming on PC. Just getting him there is always ... difficult.
Took me lots of effort to explain Steam to him and what it does,
but he reaaaaaly enjoyed it once he managed to get the Game started.

I hate consoles too. I have been gaming on PC only for the last 20 years. But for people who are really unable to deal with computers it's usually a better option. But if he prefers PC I can certainly not argue against that.

Just to add a little context re: the monitor.

Ideally the setup above demands a 1440p high refresh rate monitor. Please knock 60hz on the head as it's appalling in terms of enjoying a smooth gaming experience. Your hardware will be just sitting there doing very little at 60hz. You want to max your GPU and get beautiful high res/high game settings gaming. The size also matters along with resolution. For up to 1080p, 144hz, you really don't want more than a 24in. This is because of the pixel density. Then it kinda goes to 27in for 1440p and the 32+ for 4k. These give you the best pixel density. The 4k res is ideal for larger monitors/Tv's.

You'll also get the benefit of AMD Freesync which is great for tear free gaming and buttery smooth gameplay.

Here's a great explainer: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/learn/1080p-vs-1440p-vs-4k

I'd be going min 1440p, 170hz IPS or mini led monitors with Freesync.
