Ok so i really messed up I mean really messed up. I'm was being retarted and messed with my amd overdrive settings (I am fully aware it was extremely retarted). My pc got the bsod and restarted then windows started installing an update and I got blue screen of death in the middle of the update. My system was really messed up. I kept getting the bsod and my pc was extremely messed up even after a system restore. But I recently upgraded to windows 10 so it let me go back to 8.1 and so far it's working well and I feel extremely lucky (or unlucky because I got the bsod n an update). I like windows 10 tho, so if I upgrade back to 10 will I get my old corupted version or a nice new version???

Solution
Apparently my windows 8.1 was corupted somewhere (but ran with no crashes). When I went to do a pc refresh it said I needed to use windows 8.1 media and I got it on a flash drive and refreshed my pc. Everything was deleted but it let me upgrade to 10 a d now my pc is runing windows 10 well.
Hello... you will get NEW files if you use the Upgrade anytime app.

But lets check your current OS install. B ) before you do this... Right click computer-manage-Windows logs-system.... Click on the "RED" errors, for more information... and files/drivers/Apps, comments/suggestions/information associated with them B )

Posting screen images from here will help me, help you faster... But copy and posting text will work too B )

my current is is working fine (windows8.1) my windows 10 was corupted and I just rolled back. So I'm in a good stable is with no problems right now. I just need to know if I upgrade back to 10 I won't get my corupted of back.

Hello... Device manager-Windows anytime upgrade
When you get the running OS GOOD... type "restore point" and create personal restore point call it "good install"... if things go wrong again sometime later... try and use this file to get back to these settings.. Ok B )

ill make Shure to do that just in case this happens again(if it weren't for the 30 day rollback thing I would be screwed), but I tried going back to a restore point of when I first got windows 10 and my os was still corrupted, that how bad it was...

Now it won't let me upgrade to 10, you have any suggestions on how to get it to work??? The windows update thing is in the corner but when I download 10 I get an error message. I have no idea what it is, windows 8 is stable and runs games fine why won't it let me upgrade to windows 10? I installed a bunch of updates too...

windows 10 does not have your motherboard custom drivers, it will try and use the ones from your previous version of windows. This will generally work if they are updated before you try and install windows 10. So, go to your motherboard vendors website, update the BIOS to the current version, and update all of the motherboard drivers. You may want to uninstall or disable certain devices before you update but that depends on the machine.
you might want to list your machine specs, certain machines just can not be updated. Also, a clean install of windows 10 can work around some issues, just be sure to install any special motherboard drivers for windows 10 that are provided by your motherboard vendor.

I've updated my pc to windows 10 before, but I had to rollback yesterday because my windows 10 got corupted and I kept getting the bsod. Effort it got corrupted by having the bsod in the middle of an update it worked fine. My specs are an fx 6300, 8 gigs ddr3 and a gtx 970...

most bugchecks (BSOD) are not corruptions of windows. They are generally programming errors in device drivers.

if perchance you do get a corruption on winodws 10, you would just start cmd.exe as an admin (winodows key+x then type A)
then run
sfc.exe /scannow
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

The first command will try to fix files from a hidden local backup copy.
the second command will try to fix files from the microsoft update server.
