DSR does not give you a higher resolution. It is still 1080p. It renders a 4K image internally, then uses that data to generate a more accurate 1080p image, which is what you see. Basically, it's a form of anti-aliasing.So with a 1080p monitor that has say, G-Sync and 144hz you could game in DSR 4k? Even reaching 144fps if your rig is powerful enough?
It is not 4k, it is a pseudo version of 4k
I don’t know about Warcraft III but a lot of older games were not designed for 4K and won’t display well or may not even have the option. Nothing stopping you trying it when available though.Right that's why I refer to it as "DSR 4k" and not just say 4k. Basically my plan was thinking of gaming at 1080p native with modern AAA games and then go to DSR 4k for old games like Warcraft III reforged at 144hz
